Casa Rurale Bolzano is a cooperative bank inspired by the principles of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen. Their core business consists of the collection of savings, then made available to the local economy in the form of loans. At the center of the cooperative philosophy, is the union of people to create a strong community. The main objective of the bank is not the maximisation of profit, but rather the promotion of the local community. Members are actively involved in the governance of the bank and are given the opportunity to shape and influence the commercial policy and regulations. At least 50% of loans are granted to its members.The product range is constantly expanding and include green bonds, which aim to finance sustainable projects at a subsidised interest rate. The bank also promotes social and cultural associations, as well as sports events.
